Mr. John Davis joined the Cancer Diagnosis Program in 2021. His work with the program involves biomarker studies in early phase clinical trials.
Mr. Davis received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. After working in private sector I.T. and medical device support, he obtained a Master of Science in Cancer Biology, Prevention & Control from the University of the District of Columbia/Georgetown University Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2013.
He then held the position as Cancer Education Coordinator of the graduate and postdoctoral programs at Georgetown University. He was a research technician at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY, investigating the utility of apoptosis modulators on metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer, assaying circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and other clinical parameters as biomarker readouts. Before joining CDP, he was a laboratory supervisor in the Dept. of Oncology at Georgetown University, where he also studied effects of cell cycle inhibitor drugs on breast cancer progression and metastasis.
