Laura Yee, Ph.D.

Biostatistical Support

Dr. Yee is a biostatistician by training who provides statistical expertise to the Cancer Diagnosis Program. In addition to grant and protocol review for CDP, Dr. Yee holds integral roles for NCI trials and initiatives such as the NCI-MATCH Designated Laboratory Network, the myeloMATCH platform trial, and some Cancer Moonshot Initiative projects. Dr. Yee joined NCI in 2016 after previously serving as a mathematical statistician reviewing in vitro diagnostic devices at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health at the US Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Yee received her BS in Statistics from the George Washington University and her MS and PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Washington. She also spends her time jointly as a member of the Biometric Research Program, where her research focuses on statistics in diagnostic medicine, biomarkers in clinical trials, and survival analysis.
