Lisa McShane, Ph.D.
Dr. McShane holds a Ph.D. in statistics from Cornell University. She is a member of the Biometric Research Branch and works with the Cancer Diagnosis Program to advise NCI on statistical matters relating to development and use of tumor markers for prognosis, therapy selection, and disease-monitoring. Her research interests include statistical methods for the analysis of high-dimensional genomic data, multiple comparisons methods, surrogate endpoints, measurement error adjustment methods, laboratory quality control, and biomarker assay analytical performance assessment. She co-led the effort to develop the REMARK reporting guidelines for tumor marker prognostic studies and is a co-author of the book “Statistical Design and Analysis of DNA Microarray Investigations”.
